The Official HP laptop site call this model “HP Envy x360”. HP made a lot of big changes to the x360, First you get a 360 degree touchscreen that allows you to take advantage of multiple modes.
The laptop has latest dual-core Broadway chips, 8 gigabytes of ram and the all-new 15 inch touchscreen 1080p IPS panel.
Laptop Design And Build Quality
Let’s start by talking about the design and build quality the new HP Envy X360 touchscreen looks pretty much identical to the HP spectre x360.
The top side is made of aluminum and it feels very premium, The surrounding signs are made out of plastic and it feels pretty durable.
The way it comes to that 5.06 pounds and it is 0.94 inches inside and you will get an aluminum palmiest HP trackpad and your standard full-size keyboard, unlike the spectre x360 which is made out of aluminum for the bottom plate and the Envy is made out of plastic.
Who Should Buy This Envy Laptop With Touch Screen ?
Well the answer is someone who wants more than what a conventional can offer, If that’s you the Envy x360 totally delivers because it flip laptop with 360 degree and people who need high performance laptop with touch screen and 15 inch display because those specifications are totally enough for daily work and outside work too.
There are four modes which you can use the touch laptop in. You’ve got notebook mode which looks like a traditional laptop with touch screen for productivity and work, Stand mode perfect for watching movies and video conferencing, Tent mode to play you favorite games and apps, Finally there is tablet mode for on the go and switching between the different various modes is a very polished experience. Also HP specially designed hinge so that transitions are synchronized with precise movement and are smoother so it doesn’t feel like the hinge will break or snap And the transition between desktop mode and tablet mode is very seamless because it will automatically ask if you want to switch to tablet mode when the computer detects that you are trying to change modes and tablet mode disables the keyboard so you don’t worry about accidentally touching them.
So this laptop’s ability to switch between the different modes really makes it modern and cool and those features are not gimmicks either because you’ll find yourself using them on a regular basis.
HP Envy X360 Build Quality
The build quality and hardware of the HP Envy x360 is excellent, The entire laptop has this brushed aluminum finish which is absolutely stunning, It’s built with high quality materials so it definitely doesn’t feel cheap.
I also like how HP used their full name, Hewlett Packard for their logo . It looks really sharp. I also like how incredibly thin and light this laptop is. It’s just under an inch thick and it weighs just under 5 pounds. So it is very possible bring this with you when you travel though, just make sure get a case or bag for it because it’s not the most durable thing in the world but it will do all what you will need in travel and outgoing.
On the left side, you have the power button, Kensington lock, exhaust vent, The fan is quite noisy and it gets like 10 times worse when you’re playing a game so just keep that in mind.
Next you get your USB 2.0 port, SD Card reader, physical volume up and down buttons particularly useful in tablet mode and your hard drive activity light.
On the right side you get your charging port and charging indicator light, Ethernet port, HDMI Port, Two USB 3.0 ports, Windows button again especially useful in tablet mode and last but not least your 3.5 millimeter headset/microphone combo jack.
On the bottom, you get a lot of rubber feets helping to stabilize the laptop, You also have two speakers on both sides with Bang & Olufsen audio.
Unfortunately the battery is not removable, and although HP claims that you can get over 8 hours of usage with a single charge, I’ve only been able to get 5 hours.
The touchpad works very well, Two finger scrolling pinch and zoom as well as all other multi touch gestures are all very smooth. I also like the how the touchpad is extra giving you more room to move around. The keyboard is also very good. You get appropriate key travel and the overall typing experience is also very good.

So over I think the Envy x360 is a fantastic laptop with touch screen if you are someone looking for a convertible notebook with premium features and extras like being able to rotate the laptop 360 degrees, the Hewlett Packard Envy x360 should be near the top of your list.
